Strengthening the child and family sector and workforce capability to address intergenerational trauma in order to reduce sexual and family violence & neglect in children & families.

The State Government should provide victim-survivors with an alternative reporting option for sexual violence incidents, as recommended by the VLRC Report on reponses to sexual offenses.

1. Pornography is harmful. Banning it would limit its usage. 2. Media contains sexual content requiring stricter legislation. 3. Sex ed should teach biology, consent and appropriate behaviour.

Students of all genders need to be aware of their own rights and those of others.

The Government should mandate trauma-informed communication training for all professionals who interact with sexual violence survivors, and establish "Voice Safety Coordinators"

Victoria should establish a Survivor Recovery & Healing Fund to deliver community-led, trauma-informed, culturally safe supports for refugee, migrant and disabled women after sexual violence.

How sexual assault and family violence are defined can differ cross culturally. Providing accessible in language information/education on this including legal and support options is needed.

Government should fund a Multicultural Community Navigator model; training trusted community members to provide culturally safe support and connect survivors of sexual violence with specialist service

Develop a campaign with like-minded groups to stamp out sexual violence. What we are doing right now isn't working. Develop a long-term campaign (5-year plan).

Marcy's Law was first introduced in California USA in 2008 and confers certain rights and protections on victims of crime and their families. It is proposed that Marcy's Law be introduced in Victoria.
